Frequently Asked Questions

What makes your tallow balm different?

We keep it simple. Grass-fed tallow, unrefined shea butter, manuka honey, tamanu oil, and vanilla oleoresin — that’s it. No fillers, no synthetics, no junk. Just what your skin actually needs.

Is it safe for sensitive skin?

Yes. Our balm is made with gentle, whole ingredients chosen to support the skin’s natural barrier. Many people with sensitive or easily irritated skin use it as part of their daily routine.

Does it smell like beef?

Not at all. The subtle scent comes from the vanilla and the honey. The tallow is rendered gently to keep all its nourishing properties while removing any strong odor.

Can I use this on my face?

Absolutely. It’s safe from head to toe — including face, lips, hands, and feet. Start with a small amount. A little goes a long way.

How long does one jar last?

It depends on how you use it, but most people find a 4 oz jar lasts 4–6 weeks with daily use.

Do you offer returns or refunds?

Due to the nature of our products, we do not accept returns. But if something’s not right — your jar arrived damaged, or you had a serious reaction — reach out. We’ll make it right if we can.

Where do you ship?

We ship anywhere in the U.S. Orders go out 2–3 times a week from our farmhouse. You’ll get tracking as soon as it’s on the way.

Do you sell locally?

Yes. We sell at farmers markets and offer porch pickup by request. If you’re nearby in Rhode Island, send us a note.

Are your products organic?

Not certified, but carefully chosen. We use grass-fed, unrefined, and natural ingredients wherever possible — always selected for integrity, not just labels.

How should I store it?

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. In very warm weather, the balm may soften — this won’t affect quality. If your home stays hot, feel free to refrigerate it for a firmer texture.
